Yun T Johnson, PharmD, PhD, RPh, BCPS, BCCSPS
CO-FOUNDER AND MANAGING MEMBER
Yun brings extensive clinical expertise to her current position as co-founder and managing partner at Align Scientific. Dr. Johnson is a proven leader as shown by her experience as Pharmacist-in-Charge, Operations Manager, Associate Director, Director of Pharmacy and other administration type positions within healthcare organizations. Highly skilled not just in pharmacy sciences but also in acute care and critical care nursing, Yun leverages her experience and expertise to advance patient safety throughout the compounding process. Yun holds a PharmD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also has a Doctor of Philosophy in medical and organic chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Edward M Johnson II, PharmD, PhD, RPh, BCPS, MBA, LSSBB
CO-FOUNDER AND MANAGING MEMBER
Edward Merle Johnson II, PharmD, PhD, MBA, BCPS is a co-founder and managing member of Algin Scientific. Dr Johnson received his PharmD form West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 2003 and his PhD in Organic Chemistry/Drug Design and Synthesis from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 2012. Afterwards, Dr Johnson continued his education and received an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Concordia University – Wisconsin in 2016 and obtained Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification in 2018. Dr Johnson has obtained multiple clinical and professional certifications including Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, pharmacogenomic certification, and pain management certification. Dr Johnson is an experienced pharmacy leader and researcher with a demonstrated history of working in clinical hospitals, healthcare industries, academic research, and pharmaceutical startup companies. He is skilled in CNS disorders focusing on drug therapies and drug design and development, synthetic organic chemistry, drug metabolism, and pharmacogenomics and precision medicine.
Luke W Hergert, MS, MBA
CO-FOUNDER AND MANAGING MEMBER
Luke Hergert, MS, MBA is a co-founder and managing member who received both an MS in Chemistry and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Luke brings extensive experience of analytical method development, method validations, and analytical instrument installation and repair. He has also demonstrated successfully leading teams to success as a senior member of quality through various quality management systems for change controls, deviations, CAPAs, complaints, and laboratory investigations pertaining to USP and EP guidelines.
